University of Basrah Holds a Workshop on Types of Electronic Drugs.
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah held a workshop on types of drugs, their harms, and methods of treatment with electronic drugs as a model, in implementation of the government program to combat drugs.
The workshop aims to raise community awareness to remove the danger from our society and prevent the spread of this dangerous scourge.
The workshop, which was lectured by educator Muhammad Imad Kadhim, included defining the basic idea behind digital drugs, and their effect on the brain through audio signals received from the ears, which leads to abnormal activity in the brain similar to the effect of some narcotic substances. In addition to the health and behavioral risks of electronic drugs, their negative effects on our societies, the detection of chemicals sold secretly over the Internet, the role of the family in preventing drug abuse, and the role of ministries and institutions concerned with combating them by developing programs and mechanisms to treat and rehabilitate drug addicts.
