University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on Teaching English
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on methods of teaching English as a foreign language.
The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of the English language as the most widely spoken global language, noting that proficiency in English can provide better job opportunities in the labor market.
Presented by Dr. Alaa Hussein Awda, a faculty member, the lecture included a discussion on the key linguistic and psychological principles and theories that form the theoretical basis for various teaching methods. It also covered the most renowned teaching methods in chronological order, their key practical points, and the roles of both the teacher and the student in each.
