A PhD Thesis at Basrah University Examines Soil Interaction with Infrastructure on the Seismic Response of Buildings

A PhD thesis at the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah examined the effect of soil interaction with infrastructure on the seismic response of buildings.

The thesis aims to identify the effect of soil-structure interaction (SSI) and facade components on the seismic behavior of structures.

The dissertation, presented by the student Hala Kareem Kadhim, included the design of a modified direct shear box apparatus to determine shear force parameters at the interface.
