University of Basrah Organizes an Art Exhibition for Figurative Works
The College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Heritage Team for Arts, organized an art exhibition showcasing paintings and figurative works.
The exhibition featured the participation of over 150 works by college students, including watercolor, oil, and wood paintings, calligraphy and ornamentation panels, geometric drawings, as well as coloring, photographs, and national illustrations.
Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, the Dean of the College of Engineering, stated that the exhibition aims to highlight the artistic talents of students in the fields of painting, sketching, and coloring. He highlighted the importance of such exhibitions as they represent a healthy phenomenon for fostering creativity and developing students' artistic talents and capabilities, and encouraging such activities within the college.
