University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop Titled "Your Role is Important... to Reduce Domestic Violence"
The College of Management and Economics in Qurna at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with Al-Namaa Al-Akhdar Center and Community Police in Basrah, organized a workshop titled "Your Role is Important... to Reduce Domestic Violence."
The workshop aimed to shed light on the main causes and types of domestic violence prevalent in Iraqi society and highlight the necessary solutions to revive the spirit of family solidarity and societal peace.
The workshop, presented by specialists from Al-Namaa Al-Akhdar Center, community police, and several college faculty members, covered several key areas, including types of domestic violence, economic reasons for increased domestic violence statistics, societal culture versus future outlook, and the importance of educating both women and men in protecting families from violence.
