University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Agricultural Mechanization and Production
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on agricultural mechanization and production in light of the climatic changes in the southern region.
The workshop aims to highlight the role of agricultural mechanization in agricultural production amidst the current and future climate changes.
The workshop, which featured lectures by Dr. Murtadha Abdul-Azeem Abdul-Nabi and a group of professors and researchers, included clarifying the role of agricultural mechanization in agricultural production in the face of climatic challenges such as rising temperatures and reduced rainfall.
The workshop recommended the necessity of raising awareness and disseminating knowledge about climate changes and their impacts on various sectors, encouraging adaptation by training local communities on strategies to modify agricultural patterns, and establishing a specialized scientific center for studying climate changes.
