PhD Dissertation at the University of Basrah Examines the Frequency of Secondary Centers of the Indian Depression and Its Impact on Iraq's Climate
A PhD dissertation at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, studied the frequency of secondary (regional and local) centers of the seasonal Indian Depression and their impact on changing some climate characteristics of Iraq.
The dissertation aims to identify changes in the frequency of regional secondary centers of the Indian seasonal depression over the Middle East and local centers over Iraq, and to determine whether these changes were local or regional.
The dissertation, presented by student Sarah Ahmed Khalaf, includes six chapters. It explores the theoretical and conceptual framework of the study, changes in the frequency and duration of regional and local surface secondary centers of the Indian seasonal depression, the duration of regional and local secondary centers of the Indian depression, and the impact of changes in the frequency of local and regional secondary centers on some climate characteristics of Iraq.
