The University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Drugs
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, in collaboration with the Community Police in Basrah, organized a seminar titled "For a Drug-Free Nation."
The seminar, presented by Lieutenant Colonel Montadhar Kazem Nima from the Community Police, aimed at raising awareness among the college students about the dangers of this serious scourge that devastates individuals and, consequently, negatively affects families and the community as a whole.
Nima provided a definition of drugs and psychoactive substances, explained the meaning of substance use and addiction, and discussed the negative impact on individuals by affecting all the vital and important organs of the body, which can ultimately lead to death.
