University of Basrah Organizes a Symposium on Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and Their Effects
The College of Marine Sciences at the University of Basrah organized an awareness symposium entitled "Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and Their Social and Legal Impact and Treatment Methods".
The symposium, which was lectured by Dr. Abdul'Karim Al-Muzani and Lieutenant Colonel Muntadher Kadhim Neama from the Community Police Division in Basra, aimed to identify the effects of drugs and psychotropic substances on society, the legal aspects associated with them, and the most prominent treatment methods for dealing with this phenomenon.
The symposium included emphasizing the importance of cooperation between academic, security and community institutions to spread awareness of the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances, and calling on everyone to contribute to protecting society from their destructive effects.
