University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Professional Ethics, Unit Six in the Teaching Methods Course
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at Basrah University held the sixth unit of a course on professional ethics as part of the updated curriculum for the southern region.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Qutaiba Muslim Dawood and Dr. Muhannad Abdul-Hussein Aboud, included an introduction to the ethics of various professions and outlined the characteristics of the teacher. It emphasized the importance of educational ethics, noting that an instructor must have self-control and that the academic title should not be viewed as a personal achievement. Additionally, instructors do not have the right to strike from giving lessons, as this would harm students and future generations, since such behavior can be emulated by others. They should be characterized by giving in all circumstances.
