University of Basrah Conducts Course on Inspection Principles in Health and Safety
The Center for Development and Continuing Education at Basrah University, in collaboration with the College of Nursing, conducted a course on the principles of inspection in health and safety.
The course aimed to highlight the importance of monitoring the application of occupational health and safety standards to preserve both human and material assets, as well as the significance of adhering to general safety protocols.
Presented by Dr. Sundus Baqir Dawood, the course covered topics such as an introduction to occupational health and safety, its objectives, occupational injuries and diseases, the differences between them, work-related injury losses, procedures to mitigate these, occupational hazards, diseases resulting from them, and measures for protection and prevention.
