After being crowned the women's volleyball champions, the University of Basrah celebrates victory in the men's category as well.
The Director of the Student Activities Department at the University of Basrah, Dr. Ghassan Al-Bajari, stated, "Following the crowning of the University of Basrah yesterday as the women's volleyball champions in first place after their 2-0 win against the University of Misan's team, today the University of Basrah's men's team was crowned champions of the Southern Region Universities Championship. The event was sponsored by the Academic Supervision and Evaluation Authority and hosted by the fields of the University of Basrah and the Southern Technical University. They achieved this by a sweeping 3-0 victory against the students of Al-Ain University, placing Al-Ain in second and the University of Misan in third. Congratulations to our generous university for this well-deserved achievement in volleyball."
