University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on the Implications of Drug Abuse on Social Security
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the implications of drug abuse and trafficking on social security in Basrah Province.
The seminar aims to raise awareness about the harms of drug abuse and the impacts it has on human behavior from health, psychological, and mental perspectives, which do not only affect the individual but also extend to include the family and society as a whole. This implies the risk of spreading moral corruption, in addition to violence and crime.
The seminar included several research papers in which researchers explained the psychological and neurological harms of drug abuse.
