A Phd thesis at the University of Basrah explores the biological significance of secondary fungal extracts.
A Phd thesis in the College of Science at the University of Basrah, titled "Evaluation of the Biological Activity of Some Fungal Extracts Isolated from Poultry Waste In Vitro."
The thesis, presented by the student Sana Abdul Hameed Ghali, aims to develop new antimicrobial agents to combat bacterial and yeast resistance to conventional antibiotics, and it also opens the door to using natural compounds extracted from fungi as a potential treatment for breast cancer.
The thesis included the extraction of metabolic products from fungi, measuring their inhibitory effectiveness against pathogenic bacteria, yeasts, and breast cancer cells, isolating and diagnosing biologically active compounds, and studying their biological effectiveness.
