A Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines the Legislative Framework for Victim Protection
A master's thesis at the College of Law at the University of Basrah examined the legislative framework for victim protection in Iraqi legislation.
The thesis aims to define the concept of victim as it is of great importance, as the trend at the level of criminal legislation seeks to ensure adequate and effective protection for the victim and guarantee her basic rights.
The thesis submitted by the student Atyaf Ayoub Hassan included research on the extent of the comprehensiveness or inadequacy of criminal laws in providing this protection, because the means of protection from measures and procedures are insufficient at a time when we notice the development of legal systems and programs for victim protection.
