For sustainable development in the field of education, the University of Basrah welcomes Al-Rehab High School for Girls.
As part of the implementation of the United Nations Development and Sustainability Program, the General Secretariat of the Central Library received a delegation from Al-Rehab High School for Girls in the Al-Zubayr district west of the city. This was part of a scientific school trip that included a group of students and school staff.
Regarding the visit, Dr. Iman Shumkhi Jabir, the Secretary-General of the Central Library, stated that the visit aimed to acquaint the students with the library's facilities, sections, the circumstances of its establishment, and its historical origins. The library houses precious and valuable books, representing an important knowledge heritage in Iraqi civilization. This venerable library has contributed significantly to sustaining knowledge and educating individuals and the Iraqi community. It offers indispensable services to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as researchers from various Iraqi universities. Moreover, it provides a wealth of books, sources, periodicals, and scientific references available in both print and electronic formats.
