University of Basrah Organizes a Session on Saving Commercial Companies from Financial Distress
The Cultural Center, in cooperation with the College of Law and Politics at the University of Basrah, organized a discussion session on modern legislative directives to save commercial companies from financial distress.
The session, lectured by Dr. Jamal Abdulaziz from the Islamic University in the United States, aimed to find solutions for troubled companies in accordance with the laws and regulations concerning bankruptcy.
The session covered explanations of the concepts of bankruptcy, distress, financial liability, and how to reorganize financially. It also addressed the reasons for distress and cessation of payments, methods for saving both new and old companies, with an explanation of legislative directives on bankruptcy issues and legal, financial, and administrative support means for rescue.
