University of Basrah Organizes a Discussion Session on Entomopathogenic Nematodes
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a discussion session on entomopathogenic nematodes and the hosts they infect.
The session, presented by Dr. Ali Zuhair Abdul, aimed to highlight the most important nematodes that infect insects and the characteristics that enable them to kill these hosts.
The session explored the symbiotic relationship between nematodes and bacteria that work together to kill insects, highlighting the benefits of this relationship for both parties.
Additionally, the session delved into the life cycle and feeding habits of entomopathogenic nematodes, their strategies for host-seeking, and their persistence in the field post-application.
