University of Basrah Organizes a Lecture on the Concept of Culture in Academic Studies
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on the concept of the third culture and the possibility of applying it in academic studies.
The lecture aims to demonstrate the transformation in culture, by monitoring different models, to make it possible in academic studies, as part of keeping pace with the computer development taking place in the world.
The lecture presented by Dr. Siraj Muhammad included defining the concept of the third culture and holding a scientific question between the humanities and their various activities, as they represent the first version of the first culture, and between applied and experimental sciences, marked by the second culture, as the new humanists known as the pioneers of the third culture seek to put the humanities in confrontation with the machine, or what science has reached in the field of computing, biology, physics, chemistry and space sciences, which will put the humanities in a new cognitive challenge, which may cancel their old perceptions.
