University of Basrah Organizes a Symposium on the Concepts of the Philosophy of Happiness
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a symposium on the concepts of the philosophy of happiness and its sources.
The symposium aims to define the concept of happiness as a feeling of moderate mood and a feeling of satisfaction, and it can be a feeling of psychological joy that stems from a person achieving his goals or meeting his physical and emotional needs.
The symposium included the presentation of several research papers in which the researchers showed that happiness is an essential philosophical concept related to wisdom and virtue, and that true happiness does not come from money or material possessions but from a virtuous life and understanding its true needs, and that ignorance is the biggest obstacle to happiness, because the ignorant may pursue false things that he believes bring him happiness, but in fact they bring him misery.
