A delegation from University of Basrah visits St. Teresa Church on the occasion of Christmas.
The presidency of the University of Basrah organized a visit to St. Teresa Church in Basrah to offer congratulations and blessings to the Christian community on the occasion of the glorious Christmas.
The Director of Media and Government Communication Department at the university's presidency, Mr. Haider Abdul Ameer Khalaf, explained that this visit comes in affirmation of the directives of the university's president, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, on the necessity for the university to open up to all Iraqi communities to enhance the spirit of love and peaceful coexistence among the various segments of Iraqi society.
He added that these visits to places of worship of the Iraqi community foster the university's values in promoting human communication and spreading the culture of peace and mutual respect.
For their part, the Christian community expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the University of Basrah for these repeated visits, which reflect the spirit of love that unites all Iraqis.
