University of Basrah organizes a session on the role of Yazeed bin Masoud in the Husseiny cause.
Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies Center organized a discussion session titled "The Role of Yazeed bin Masoud Al-Nahshali in Supporting the Husseiny Cause."
The session, presented by lecturer Alaa Mohammed Nasser, outlined the role of Yazeed bin Masoud, a prominent leader of Banu Nahshal and notable figure of Basrah, in supporting Hussein (peace be upon him). He was related to the family of the prophet Muhammed through marriage since the time of the Caliphate of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). Yazeed gathered around ten thousand fighters from his tribe to support Hussein (peace be upon him), but he did not receive news of the battle until after it had ended.
