A scientific study at the University of Basrah explores the design of an antenna with electromagnetic polarization.
A study conducted at University of Basrah by Dr. Faleh Mahdi Mousa from the College of Engineering, in collaboration with master's student Atyaf Hamed Mohammed, focused on designing a patch antenna with circular electromagnetic polarization featuring opposite rotations, utilizing a specialized feed network for fifth-generation (5G) communication purposes.
The study, published in the international journal "Applied Sciences" (indexed in Clarivate Analytics with an impact factor of 2.5, CiteScore=5.3), introduced a new antenna design capable of producing circular electromagnetic radiation rotating in opposite directions. This ensures circular polarization diversity for more reliable wireless information transmission.
