As an educational institution, the University of Basra has seen a decline in the number of faculty members and its compatibility with the number of students due to the inflation in the student population resulting from the increase in the population in Iraq for ages (18-25). This indicates the urgent need to increase the number of faculty members, especially in attractive disciplines, which are a need for the job market. Therefore, the Department of Studies and Planning / Statistics Division provides all statistics and indicators for the number of faculty members at the university, based on which future recruitment plans for the university are developed.
