University Goal

University of Basrah was established in accordance with the Code of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research since it was founded   in 1964 for the first time, where it was affiliated with the University of Baghdad and then became independent within all its affairs in 1967 according to Code No. (8) in the year of 1967 (University of Basra Code).

BasrahUniversity seeks to enable young generations in our beloved country, Iraq, to acquire and employ knowledge as best as possible to meet the challenges of development and innovations in order to keep moving forward with the developments in a sustainable way stemmed from reality to deal with the challenges facing the civilized societies.
