University of Basrah is discussing the Role of sulfur in improving the Stress Tolerance of Date Palm

A seminar at the Palm research center at university of Basrah research the Role of sulfur in improving the salt Stress Tolerance of Date Palm.

The researcher Dr.Hussein Jassim Sharif said that use of some elements, including sulfur reduced the damage the salt stress by reducing Oxidative stress that produced from the salt stress, as the sulfur role in work as an antioxidant, so it is help in to heal plant tissues and improve its growth.

The researcher recommended, using agricultural sulfur by 400 grams for as every Palm at the begin of the third month for reduce the salt stress and improve soil properties.
