University of basrah opens a special pavilion to show Iraqi dates in the museum of natural History in the province

Faculty of Agriculture at university of basrah opened a special pavilion to show Iraqi dates in the museum of natural history in the presidential palaces in the center of the province, which included an exhibition of iraqi dates in addition to some of the secondary industries of dates palm.

An academic at the Department of Gardening and garden engineering Dr. Hamza Abbas Hamza said that the pavilion included show a collection of iraqi dates including Al-Burahi, Al-Barim, Al-Zahidi, Al-Halawi and Al-Khadrawi  in addition to Al-dierri, Al_ashrisie and Al_jubjab.

so he said that the exhibition also included presentation a group of the secondary industries of  the which made from leaflet and Palm fronds such as Al-tubik, Al_zbiel,hand fan and broom , which represents the heritage of the city of Basrah for introduce visitors to dates and it's forms and saving on the Iraqi heritage.
