A research team from the University of Basrah carried out an aerial reconnaissance to photograph the course of the Shatt al-Arab

A research team from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basrah carried out an exploratory aerial mission to Photographing the course of Shatt al-Arab within the Atlas Shatt al-Arab project by using military helicopters follow to Al Shuaiba Air Base.

The head of the administrative committee of the project, Dr. Majid Mekki, said that the flight included an air survey of Shatt al-Arab from Qurna district to Faw district, where many of the events has been photograph established on the Shatt al-Arab,also the many of the submerged submarine sections of the river.

He added that were photographed water plants and some types of birds and mammals such as buffalo and wild pigs, also photographed many of the Shatt al-Arab and some of the floating cage sites used in fish farming.
