Dr. Adnan Farhan Al -jawwarin the academic at Faculty of administration and economics published research in Journal of Economics and Development studies, which issued from American Institute for Research and tagged ((Innovation in the GCC Economic Analysis)).

The researcher said that innovation means the creation of products and services of higher quality or new products that improve the quality of human life and raise the level of him well-being, he explained the purpose of the research is explain the cause to the GCC countries suffer in the field of innovation, although it is a rich country with an average for each person income is among the highest in the world.

There are many obstacles to the development of innovation in these countries, the most important of which is the low rate of investment in the research and Development as a percentage of gross domestic product, the low expenditure on education as a percentage of gross domestic product and the absence of incentives for innovation.
