Faculty of education for pure sciences at university of basrah held a scientific lecture about ( a theoretical study of the magnetic and electronic properties of the MnBi surface and the separation of MnBi / HgTe)
A lecture of the researcher nehiya Hadi which dealt with how to use the calculations of the preliminary principles and important explanations on the electronic and magnetic properties of the composite surfaces (110), (001), (111) ZB-MnBi and the dividing lines of MnBi / HgTe (110), (001).
the lecture included the semi-metallic form of ZB-MnBi that is reserved for the surfaces considered here except the surfaces (001) ending with Bi and (111) ending in the end Mn. in addition to, Where she found that the magnetism is wrapped around the surfaces (111 ,(110) ,(001) is increased compared to the ZB-MnBi size, While decreasing at secondary surfaces (110),(001),(111). in addition to, she calculated the energy of adhesion as more stable at the boundary. so she found that the Bi-Te (001) form is more stable between the potential forms of the boundary line MnBi / HgTe (001). to sorry, the boundary-line forms show that the metal halftone installed in size ZB-MnBi may have crashed at all possible boundary lines.
