University of Basrah discusses the environmental variables of the northern part of the Shatt al - Arab

College of science at university of Basrah organized a seminar titled (the environmental variables of the northern part of the Shatt al - Arab).

Where the researcher Sakinah montzar abdalrazuk presented a lecture included a definition of aqueduct in Basrah and focus on Shatt al - Arab water, where the researcher showed the quality of the effects and its type of Shatt al-Arab water which directly affected by many variables that negatively affect its quality, making it invalid for those uses.

she showed also that the northern part of the Shatt al - Arab is affected by the water of the Tigris because of the only source currently for the supply of Shatt al-Arab with water, for that the water quality is therefore monitored from the chemical, physical and biological, simplifying the results to be mathematical figures expressed in terms of water quality indicators. Where the water quality indicators give a clear idea for the situation of the Shatt al-Arab. Which makes it easier for officials to provide appropriate solutions such as increasing water ratios and providing the appropriate share of Basrah Governorate. So stop all threats by direct discharge of pollutants to Shatt al-Arab.
