University of Basrah organizes a seminar about radioactive pollution

Faculty of Pharmacy at university of Basrah organized a seminar titled (Radiation pollution and the functions of the radiation department in environmental oversight and control) with participate of researchers and specialists, the seminar included a lecture presented by Dr. Amier Khazal which he discussed the definition of radiation and its nature and energies used in the field of biology and medical imaging. he explained the different types of radiation and its interaction with living organisms and its damage and how to measure exposure and potency and the factors of influence and proportions recommended by the International Agency for Radiological Protection.
