A seminar at Basrah and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at university of Basrah discussed the role of Mohammed Nasser in the establishment of University of Basrah.
The researcher Alaa Oreibi Ghanem said: that Mohammed Nasser is one of the prominent Basrah figures and early pioneers who contributed to the development of education in Iraq. where was a researcher, lecturer, writer and translator who mastered the English language with great skill, he Has got several administrative and ministerial positions in the second republican era in the sixties of the last century, most notably his ascendancy to the post of Minister of Education in 1964, the same year, which was founded by University of Basrah, where it was allocated funds and human potential and the location and buildings. The researcher pointed out the need to prepare a special study similar in which he talked about his political and cultural role when he assumed the position of the Ministry of Culture and Guidance in 1966 and he founded Basrah Radio in 1965 and highlights his achievements as a visual character worthy of hospitality.
