College of sciences at university of Basrah organized a seminar titled the role of stimulation and bio-promotion in the treatment of environmental pollutants.
Where the researcher Shaima Abdul Amir Abboud presented a Definition of crude oil and its components, sources of environmental pollution in crude oil and the fate of oil spilled into the environment, the role of Bacteria and fungi in process and solving the problem of environmental pollution in hydrocarbons through the process of biodegradation.
Some techniques used to increase the efficiency of biodegradation has been identified also, bio-stimulation by adding important nutrients and oxygen to the analyzed organisms in the environment and bio-enhancement technology by adding different microorganisms to better break down the pollutants and remove it from the environment better.
