A Delegation from American College of Petizer visits university of Basrah

Dr. Thamer Ahmed Hamdan, The President of University received in his office a delegation from American College of Petzer and its one of the colleges affiliated with Claremont University, it which includes the Dean of the College of Pittsburgh, Dr. Nigel and Dr. Ahmed Al-Washa.

Dr. Aideed Habib Taha, Director of Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department said that the purpose of the visit is to consult and Convergence of point views about the Possibility of common work in the scientific and cultural fields between two universities, especially in the field of environmental pollution in various fields of water, air and soil.

He said also that the visiting delegation touched on the great response of University of Basrah in this area and expressed admiration for the scientific potentials in our university. Especially that university has a great deal of scientific research to process the problem of environmental pollution. The two sides also agreed on the need to hold meetings between the two sides through the "Skype" to continue research on the development of appropriate solutions to the problem of pollution of the environment, especially in Governorate of Basrah. So The President of University gave souvenirs to the visiting delegation, where the visiting delegation presented thanks to The President of University and his assistant for scientific affairs, Dr. Shaker Abdel-Salam Naaima and all who attended for their good reception.
