Basrah University holds a seminar on Basrah's water scarcity & saltiness

Basrah University organizes a scientific seminar on the scarcity and saltiness of water in Basrah province by a participation of researchers and specialists. The seminar included a speech by Dr. Sajid Saad Hassan, vice president of Basrah University of Administrative and Scientific Affairs during which he discussed university rule to hold such a seminar, conferences and workshops.

Hassan added that the university has provided a lot of specialized studies and service projects, but it was not taken into the consideration, as it directed postgraduate students to research and find successful solutions to this problem.
vice president of the University, Dr. Sajid Saad Hassan, directed the specialists and decision makers in the seminar with the importance to make a working guide and to define the roles and responsibilities of each and every concerned party, as well as forming a committee to follow up the recommendations and to carry it out.
The seminar shed the light on the fact that this problem was not newly born and the responsibility of solving it lies with the federal and local governments and that this problem would be solved through the cooperation of all of the efforts as well as involving the researchers and specialists to solve it.
