Dr. Ibrahim Ali Diwan, at the College of Education for Girls at the University of Basrah, participated in a research in Al- Wilaya journal of Imam Ali holy shrine entitled "Geographical Analysis of Agricultural Production in the Holy Qur’an." The researcher tackled the most important geographical factors in agricultural production, from it’s both sides the natural and human one, according to the Quranic perspective, and according to its economic as grain harvests, which includes wheat, barley, rice and others, where the Almighty Allah, said {A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We give it life, and We bring forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof}
Diwan added as well as legumes crops such as peas, beans, lentils and cowpea as Almighty Allah said{And [recall] when you said, “O Moses, we can never endure one [kind of] food. So call upon your Lord to bring forth for us from the earth its green herbs, its cucumbers, its garlic, its lentils, and its onions”.}.
