University of Basrah discusses the pollution of Marshes deposits with Hydrocarbons and heavy metals

The Department of Environmental Sciences at the college of Sciences organized a seminar led by the postgraduate student (Master) Hadeel Fahad Abd Al-Aziz entitled “pollution of Marshes deposits with Hydrocarbons and heavy metals”. The seminar included an acknowledgment with the marsh and its importance, as it is an important environment for animal and agricultural wealth, as well as for bird’s habitation. 

Also, the seminar discussed the sources of Marshes pollution. And the lecture focused on the importance of taking samples from those deposits that are one meter deep (core sampler) to study the history of pollution of that area within the mentioned pollutants.
