The University of Basrah inaugurate the building of the Dormitories departments for female students

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa, inaugurated the building of the Dormitories departments for female students.

The President of the University, Dr. Thamer Ahmed Hamdan, mentioned that the inaugurating of this building will save the university with the money that spent on the rent of buildings outside the university as well as the security and services that are provided to the new building.

Explaining that the new building is intended for the female university students with a capacity of 528 students at a cost of 3 billion and 968 million dinars. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa on other hand mentioned that the inauguration of this departments is an important achievement for the University within the current financial conditions, showing the importance of these buildings, which provide suitable housing for the students, as well as, the maintenance of services and security. It is worth mentioning that the University of Basrah has a number of other important projects which are under construction.
