University of Basrah Discusses the Treatment of Functional Infertility Using Some Hormones

A seminar in the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Basrah discusses (treatment of infertility using some hormones on cows in Basrah province).

The researcher, Munjid Abdul-Karim Saleh, mentioned that he used hormonal treatments for cows suffering from functional infertility, which is known as Prostaglandin F2alpha Lutein, Follicle-stimulating hormone, and GnRH to create libido and to reduce the period between two pregnancies.

The aim of this seminar was to reduce the period of days between consecutive pregnancies and reduce the economic loss and seek to increase the rate of pregnancy through the treatment of cows suffering from functional infertility which is represented by ovaries infertility and retention of the yellow body.

The researcher recommended the use of FSH and LH hormones to create libido after birth for cows suffering from ovaries infertility.
