University of Basrah Discusses the Preparation and Features of the Carbon Quantum Dots and its Applications in Solar Cells

The Faculty of Science at the University of Basrah discussed a seminar entitled "Preparation and Features of Carbon Quantum Dots and its Applications in Solar Cells".

The researcher Ali Atieh mentioned that the aim of the research and expressed them with the following points:

1. Introduction to Carbon element and the important element and hybridization in Carbon atoms.

2. Nano definition and classification of nanomaterials. Forms of Carbon Nanoparticles.

3 - Definition of quantitative points properties and applications. Methods of preparation.

4 - The material was prepared using simple and available materials, methods, such as Kraft poles, Vitamin C, plastic trash.

The preparation used methods are as following:

Electrochemical

Chemical

Hydrothermal vent

5 - Manufacturing solar cells and the effect of adding material prepared on the work of cells.
