University of Basrah discusses the Radioactive Isotopes uses in Agricultural fields

A seminar in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basrah discussed the use of radioactive isotopes in the agricultural fields, which was presented by the lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Machinery Samir Khairi Lazim.

Lazim mentioned that the complex uses of radioactive isotopes in different agricultural journals are based on the transmittance radiation of these isotopes. Where their trajectories can be traced with remarkable accuracy inside objects as tracers by the use of special devices. Therefore, isotopes are an important source for providing valuable information for the scientists as well as their therapeutic uses. Its most important applications are in soil fertility and Manures, soil salts researches and the applications in the production of new plant and animal breeds, as well as in the conservation of foods and vegetables.
