University of Basrah organizes Seminar on Proposed Solutions of Surface Water Resources Problems in Basrah Province

The seminar was organized by the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah. The seminar included a lecture presented by Dr. Abdul Zahra Abdul-Rasul Al-Hilo, during which he discussed the problem of salinity of Shatt al-Arab water and the proposal of selecting the dam site.

Alaa Hashim Al-Badran, the secretary of the Restoration of Iraqi Marshes at Basrah Governorate Board in which he presented a lecture about the scarcity and salinity of water in the Shatt al-Arab and its impact on the future of agriculture and then the environment in Basrah.

 Dr. Hussein Juban Oreibi, in his lecture he dealt with the characteristics of the rivers net within the city using GIS, and Dr. Iman Karim Abbas to the impact of sewage water in the pollution of rivers in the province.
