Basrah University Organizes Training Course (Development of Guidance Skills)

Educational Guidance and Psychological Care department at the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences organized a course entitled "Development of guidance Skills for the Academic Adviser" to develop the guidance skills of guiding departments supervisors at the faculties of the university.

The theoretical aspect was discussed within the first day, which relates to what is the guidance in the university and the levels of the tasks of the academic guidance and the methods of guidance and its objectives. The practical side, on the other hand, dealt with the preparation of the guidance plan and some problem-solving strategies such as cognitive behavioral guidance. The design of the form to follow up the absences and scientific level of students was also discussed by Dr. Btul Ghaleb Al-Nahi, the director of the educational guidance department.
