Research Team from University of Basrah Examining Maysan and Dhi Qar Marshes Soil Problems

A research team at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Basrah examined marshes soil problems at Maysan and Dhi Qar governorates to identify the most important possible treatments for these soils.

Dr. Salah Mahdi Sultan, head of the media units and Public Relations department at the Faculty of Agriculture and a members of the researching team, mentioned that the soil samples were taken from different depths for those areas in order to be analyzed within the college laboratories and to assess the problems that affect them, which negatively affect the agricultural sector as well as the productivity of field crops at the two governorates.

He also added that the research team consists of Dr. Salah Mahdi Sultan and Dr. Mohammed Malik Yassin as well as all of the researchers Hassan Ali Taher, Saadia Mahdi Saleh, and Baidaa Hameed Jabr.
