University of Basrah organizes workshop on International Organization for Quality Standardization- Iraqi Oil Tankers Company as Model

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the international quality standard by adopting the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company as a model.

The workshop, which was held in cooperation with the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company, aims at introducing the employees of the company to the most important requirements for obtaining (ISO) certificate and how to improve their services which are classified as the main stages for exporting oil.

The workshop included highlighting the concept of product quality and conditions, the development and establishment of the quality system, the benefits and advantages for obtaining (ISO) certificate and reviewing the improving quality steps and its applications within the international companies.

The researchers at the workshop suggests the Iraqi government and private companies to seek the adoption of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the benefit of Iraqi economy development and diversify its sources as well as Basrah University preparation to cooperate with private and governmental companies to provide them with expertise and academic advisories to develop and improve their work.
