Faculty of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the role of microorganisms in the process of producing (composting).
The seminar presented by Fatima Taher Mohsen included acknowledging with the process of producing composting naturally by microorganisms activity using various organic residues such as crop residues, animal waste, food waste, and some household waste as well as industrial waste.
This composite is considered to be a rich source of various organic materials such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The advantage of this method is to make the soil more resistant to different environmental conditions. It also helps to improve crop productivity and ease of taking plant nutrients, increase the efficiency of microorganisms to rotate plant nutrients and recycle organic waste in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
