University of Basrah Organizes Course Entitled Fish Stocks Evaluation

Marine Sciences Center at the University of Basrah organized a course on fish stocks evaluation.

The aim of the course, which was presented by the researchers Uday Mohamed Hassan and Abdul-Hussein Jafar, is to identify the method used to evaluate fish stocks, compare them and the options available to fisheries managers in order to reach sustainable wealth.

The session discussed ways to reduce attrition and to protect food security of the country and the application of the ecosystem approach to evaluating fish and hereditary.
