University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on Importance of Coordination between Statistical Producers and Its Users

The Faculty of Management and Economics at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the importance of coordination between statistical producers and users of statistics, with participation of researchers and specialists.

The seminar aims to highlight Statistics Central Office works, review the structure of the statistical system in Iraq, and the importance of coordination between producers and consumers of statistical data.

The seminar included an exhaustive reviewing of various statistical indicators, types, and uses.

The researchers at the seminar stressed the need to develop information systems, disaggregation of users’ data, and extend the bridges of cooperation between the academic institutions and the Statistics Central Office of the Iraqi Ministry of Planning in order to provide them with scientific expertise.
