Dr Adel Fadel Abbas, researchers from Basrah University /college of Science/ Department of Ecology record existence Baleen Whale in the Iraqi Shallow Water at the north of Arabian Gulf, where the depth of water was 4 meters during tide. Researchers estimate the Whale length as 12-15 meters. This is rare phenomena to record such huge Wahle in a Shallow Water, researcher said. Baleen whales were named with this name for the long plates of baleen that they have, which hang in a row (like the teeth of a comb) from their upper jaws. Baleen plates are strong and flexible, they are made of a protein similar to human fingernails.
